Updating Command Center with LiveUpdate

LiveUpdate checks for updates to all Symantec products that are installed on the computer.

Using your Internet connection, you can use LiveUpdate to obtain updates to Command Center. Updates are minor improvements to the product. Updates differ from upgrades, which are newer versions of the entire product. Updates also include patches to Command Center which are usually created to extend operating system or hardware compatibility, adjust a performance issue, or fix a bug.

You should run LiveUpdate as soon as you have installed the Command Center. Once you know that your files are up-to-date, run LiveUpdate periodically to obtain updates. Updates are released on an as-needed basis.

To obtain updates using LiveUpdate:

  1. Select and right-click Command Center.

  2. Select LiveUpdate....

The LiveUpdate dialog box appears.

  1. In the LiveUpdate window, click Next to locate updates for all Symantec products you have installed on the computer.

  2. If updates are available, click Next to download and install them.

  3. When the installation is complete, click Finish.  

Some program updates may require that you reboot the computer before the changes will take effect.
