Uninstalling Packages from Computers

When you uninstall package jobs from computers, Symantec LiveState Delivery also deletes the stored information from the database about package jobs on the computers.

Packages uninstalled from computers are not removed from the Package Depot.

When packages are uninstalled from computers, they are uninstalled in the reverse order in which they were installed.  For example, if package A, B, and C were installed in that order (A, then B, then C), then they will be uninstalled in the order C, then B, then A.

To uninstall a package job

  1. Expand All Computers or a computer group name.

  2. Click the computer name to display its installed packages in the Result pane.

  1. Right-click the package you want to uninstall and click Uninstall. The Manage Package Jobs: Set Execution Schedule dialog box appears. The Action column lists Delete actions for the packages you are uninstalling.

If there are dependent package jobs, the Delete Packages Confirmation dialog box appears.

  1. Click No to continue with the deletion of the conflicting packages. The package job is uninstalled.
