Assigning Packages to Computers on a Different Server

You can assign one or more packages to a single computer or a computer group on a different server. The packages you deploy from the source server must also exist on the target server.

When you assign packages to a computer on another server Symantec LiveState Delivery checks that packages with the same Package Name, Revision, and Package ID also exist on the target server. Symantec LiveState Delivery then assigns the packages to computers from the target server depot, not the source server. It does not verify that the packages are identical on both the source and target servers. So the packages you are selecting to assign from the source server may not be identical to the packages that are assigned from the target server.
