Restoring a computer

Computers can be rolled back to a previous backup at any time.

Note: You cannot cancel or undo a backup once it has started.

To restore a computer

1.

In the Symantec Ghost Console, in the left pane, expand the Backup Regimes folder.

In the Backup Regimes pane, right-click the backup regime for the computer that you want to receive the rollback, then click Restore.

In the list of backups, select the one to roll back.

The status of each backup is indicated as follows:

In the bottom pane, you can view the status of the backup.

The status for the computer is as follows:

Click Safe Mode restore (non-system files only) to restore user files only.

The operating system files and registry files are not restored.

Click OK.
