Creating computer groups

The Symantec Ghost Console detects its client computers on the network and automatically adds them to the Default group in the Machine Groups folder. You can use this group if you want, or you can create new computer groups to suit your requirements.

To create a computer group

1.

In the Symantec Ghost Console, in the left pane, expand the Machine Groups folder.

Expand the computer group folder in which you want to place the new computer group.

Do one of the following:

Type a name for the new computer group.

Press Enter or click anywhere in the Symantec Ghost Console to confirm the name.

The new group is added to the computer group hierarchy. You can now add computers to this group.
