Getting a
static IP address if pinging is unsuccessful
If you ping an address and
the address does not respond, you can use the ipconfig /all command
to determine the correct IP address.
To get an IP address if the ping is
unsuccessful

On the computer that
contains the recovery point that you want to restore, at a DOS
prompt, type the following command, and then press .
ipconfig /all
-
Write down the IP address
that is displayed.

Return to the computer that
is running the recovery environment and run the utility Ping Remote
Computer with this IP address.
