Adjusting
the effect of a backup on computer performance
If you are working on your
computer when a backup is running - especially one that is creating
an independent recovery point - your computer might slow down. This
is because Norton Ghost is using your computer's hard disk and
memory resources to perform the backup.
However, you can actually
change the speed of the backup as a way of minimizing the impact of
Norton Ghost on your computer while you work.
To adjust the effect of a backup on computer
performance

In Norton Ghost, on the
menu bar, click .

If you want to improve your
computer's speed performance, move the slider bar closer to

If you want the backup to
complete more quickly, move the slider bar closer to
