User access to Public Folder archives
Users can access archived
Public Folder items using shortcuts or using Archive Explorer to
browse the required Public Folder archive.
All users with read access to the Public Folder's
archive can do the following:

View the contents of archived items. To view items,
double-click shortcuts in the Public Folder or, in Archive
Explorer, double-click the item in the archive.

Restore from the Public Folder's archive to their
own mailboxes. In Outlook, the users must first copy the shortcuts
to their own mailboxes.

Use the Administration
Console if you want to remove a Public Folder target, because this
removes the marker that Enterprise Vault places on the root path
folder.
