Assigning permission for managed folder synchronization in Exchange Server 2007

The Enterprise Vault Exchange Provisioning task performs synchronization of managed content settings in Exchange managed folders from Exchange Server 2007 to Enterprise Vault. To enable the task to synchronize settings, the Exchange View-Only Administrator role must be assigned to the Vault Service account.

To assign permission for managed folder synchronization in Exchange Server 2007

  1. Open the Exchange Management Console.

  2. If necessary, expand the tree so that Organization Configuration is visible.

  3. Right-click Organization Configuration and select Add Exchange Administrator.

  4. On the Add Exchange Administrator page, click Browse, select the name of the Vault Service account, and then click OK.

  5. Select Exchange View-Only Administrator role.

  6. Click Add.

  7. On the Completion page, click Finish.
