Enterprise Vault functionality can be made available in OWA 2003 and OWA 2007 Basic and Premium clients by installing Enterprise Vault OWA server extensions on the Exchange Server. Enterprise Vault functionality available with OWA 2000 clients is limited to viewing archived items.

With OWA 2003 and OWA 2007, you can control the functionality of the clients using OWA settings on the Advanced page of the Exchange Desktop Policy properties.

On user desktops, Internet Explorer 6.0 or later is required to support the full functionality available with OWA 2007 and OWA 2003 clients.

You do not need to install Enterprise Vault Add-Ins on user desktop computers.
