Listing archives

The Archives container in the Administration Console lists archives by type, such as File System, Journal, Mailbox, and so on. When the number of archives of a particular type reaches a threshold number, the Administration Console automatically splits the listing of that type into sub-containers.

For example, if the threshold is set to the default (5,000), and there are 16,000 mailbox archives, the Administration Console uses four sub-containers to list mailbox archives.

To change the threshold

  1. On the Directory Service computer, start the registry editor.

  2. Create a DWORD value called ArchiveListChunkThreshold under the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
 \SOFTWARE
  \KVS
   \Enterprise Vault
	\Directory
	 \DirectoryService

  3. Give ArchiveListChunkThreshold a value that is the maximum number of items you want to appear in any of the containers.

  4. Restart the Directory Service.
