Configure sharing

Use this page to define the sharing levels for the vault stores within the vault store group.

The sharing levels determine whether Enterprise Vault shares identical SIS parts between vault stores in the group, within a vault store, or not at all.

You can change the sharing levels after sharing has occurred, but any changes do not act retrospectively.

All Vault Stores configured as. Choose this option if you want to set the same sharing level for all the vault stores that are currently in the group.

Select from the following:

No sharing. Perform no sharing in the vault store group.
Share within Vault Store. Share within each vault store only. Perform no sharing across the vault stores.
Share within Group. Share across all vault stores in the vault store group.

Customize sharing. Choose this option to set the sharing level for each vault store individually. Enterprise Vault shows the current sharing level for each vault store.

To change the sharing level for a vault store, click the current value and then select from the following:

No sharing. Perform no sharing for this vault store.
Share within Vault Store. Share within this vault store. Exclude the vault store from any sharing across vault stores.
Share within group. Share within this vault store and across other vault stores in the group that have this setting.
