This page lets you select files for archiving according to the file attributes:

• Filter files using attributes. Select Filter files using attributes and then specify which attributes must be matched. If you do not select Filter files using attributes then all file attributes are ignored.

  Enterprise Vault automatically selects Filter files using attributes when you set Action to perform on matching files to Archive copy and reset on the General tab. Enterprise Vault also does the following:

  • Locks Filter files using attributes so that you cannot clear it.

  • Sets Ready for Archiving to Set.

  For each attribute you can specify any of the following:

  Not Set	Files with this file attribute set are not archived. Files that do not have this attribute set are archived provided that they meet the other archiving criteria.
  Set	Files with this file attribute set are selected for archiving provided that the other criteria match
  Ignored	Enterprise Vault does not look at this attribute when selecting files to be archived. Provided that they meet the other archiving criteria, files are archived regardless of whether this attribute is set or not.

  Enterprise Vault archives the files that have an exact match of all the attribute settings.
