File Properties: Settings

Settings that will be used when the PST file is migrated:

Retention Category. The Retention Category that is used when items from this PST file are migrated.
PST Language. Specifies the language PST Migrator is to use if it needs to create folder names in the mailbox. It is important that PST Migrator uses the same Windows codepage that was used when the PST file was created.
- If the language used was Western European, select Western European.
- If the wrong codepage is used, limitations in Exchange Server mean that the folder names may be corrupted, although there is no problem with items within the folders.
  
  If a folder name is corrupted, it is used if a user ever chooses to restore an item to its original folder. Also, a user who wants to search for an item and who enters the original location must enter the corrupt folder name. To avoid these problems, select the language that was used when the PSTs were created. If the language is not listed, select Custom and enter the codepage number. Note that the selection you make here must be available on the Storage Service computer that is archiving the contents of the PST files.

PST is password protected. If the PST is password protected, select this and specify the password.
- Enter password. The password required to open the PST file.
- Confirm password. The password required to open the PST file.
