. The name of the computer. This is a computer that has been found the PST Locator task.
. The mailbox that is used for PST files whose ownership cannot be determined by other means.
PST Migrator determines ownership using the following rules:
If the PST file is found in a user's profile, then that user's mailbox is used.
If the PST file is not in a profile but has been marked by Outlook, then the information provided by the marking is used.
You can configure desktop clients so that, when a user starts Outlook, the client writes a marker into each PST file that is listed in the mail profile. The marker indicates the Vault Site, the default archive, and the default Retention Category. If PST Migrator finds one of these marked PST files it is able to read this information and is also able to determine the mailbox that owns the default archive.
If the PST has not been marked but the file ownership can be matched to a mailbox owner then that mailbox is used.
If a mailbox cannot be chosen by using any of the above rules, then the mailbox you specify for is used.
