New Partition

Enterprise Vault can collect together multiple savesets archived with the same retention category, and store them in a single Centera clip.

The benefits of using collections are as follows:

A collection clip and the savesets that it contains are not deleted until there are no references to any of the savesets in the clip.

If you enable a vault store partition on a Centera device for collection, then an additional SQL index may be created for the Saveset table in the associated vault store database. Additional space is required for this index on the SQL Server. You can change the collection settings from the partition's properties whenever required. The change has no effect on the items that are already archived.
