Run for. Enter the amount of time for which you want the trace to run. On a busy Enterprise Vault system DTrace log files can quickly become large so it is normal to run for no more than a few.

Maximum log size. This enables you to set an absolute maximum for the log file size. If this size is reached, tracing will stop, even if you have allowed more time for the tracing.

Folder for log file. The default location for log file is the Enterprise Vault Reports folder. To use a different folder, enter the path to the folder or click Browse to select a folder.

The log file is named as follows:

TRACE_LOG_DDMMYYYY_HHMMSS.LOG

where:

DDMMYYYY is the date the log file is created and HHMMSS is the time the log file is created.
