File Blocking Rule Properties: Notifications

Notification. Select the notification methods you want Enterprise Vault to use when a policy violation occurs and then click Configure notifications.

Notify using Messenger Service. Enables automatic notifications using the Windows Messenger Service.
Send email. Select this to make Enterprise Vault send an email notification.
Run custom command. Select this to run a command such as NET SEND or a batch file.

Note:

Custom commands require the Windows "Task Scheduler" service to be running.
Log the event. Select this to make Enterprise Vault log the event. Click Configure notifications to select the locations to which log entries will be made.

Configure notifications. Click this to configure the notification options you have selected.
