This tab enables you to specify which folders you want File Blocking to monitor. The settings you define here will apply to every volume to which you apply this policy.
For example, you might have volumes that have a top-level folder called 'Users' with subfolders for each of a number of users.
. Select this to monitor all folders on the volume. If you want to monitor the root folder on the volume you must choose this option.
. This enables you to specify the folders that you want to monitor.
To create a new entry in the list, select , then click and enter the path to the folder that you want to add. This policy could be used for many volumes, so the path must be relative to the root of the volume. For example, to specify top-level folder "Users" you would specify Users
. Click this to add a new entry to the list of monitored folders.
. To remove an entry from the list, click the entry to select it and then click - . Note that all folders in the list that begin with the same folder path will be deleted from the list. For example, if you remove 'Users\user1' from the list then this could also remove 'Users\user1\personal' from the list.
. If there are folders that you want to be exempt from File Blocking, add them to this list:
. Click this to add a new entry to the list. The path you specify must be a subfolder of an item that is in the list.
For example, you have chosen to monitor selected folders and the list contains 'Users\user1' then you could add 'Users\user1\personal' to the list.
