. This is the Retention Category that Enterprise Vault applies to all items archived from using this policy, unless you override it for individual PST files.
. If PST Migrator needs to create folder names in the mailbox, it is important that it uses the same Windows codepage that was used when the PSTs were created.
If the wrong codepage is used, limitations in Exchange Server mean that the folder names may be corrupted, although there is no problem with items within the folders.
If a folder name is corrupted, it is used if a user ever chooses to restore an item to its original folder. Also, a user who wants to search for an item and who enters the original location must enter the corrupt folder name. To avoid these problems, select the language that was used when the PSTs were created. If the language is not listed, select and enter the codepage number.
Note that the selection you make here must be available on the Storage Service computer that is archiving the contents of the PST files. If you need to install extra languages, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article HOW TO: Add and Enable Additional Languages in Windows.
. Select this to make the Enterprise Vault client automatically increase the size of the Vault Cache, if necessary, so that there is space to include all the migrated items. Space is not added unless it is needed.
Clear this if you do not want space added automatically to Vault Cache. In this case, migrating an item into a Vault Cache that does not have sufficient space results in the oldest items being deleted until there is sufficient space. If the migrated item is older than the oldest item in the Vault Cache, the item is not added and nothing is deleted from the Vault Cache.
. Select this to restrict the search of users' disk to be each user's Documents and Settings folder and its subfolders. Clear this to search all local disks on each user's computer.
