Trace Properties: General

Trace details:

Title. The title that was entered of this trace.
Status. Shows whether the trace is running or has finished.
Category. Shows which Enterprise Vault subsystem is covered by this trace.
Start time. The time the trace started.
Log size. The size of the log file.
Maximum log size. The absolute maximum for the log file size. If this size is reached, tracing will stop.
Running time. The amount of time for the trace to run that was specified in the wizard. If the trace is complete and stopped because the maximum log file size was reached, the time shown here will be longer than the time for which the trace actually ran.

Log file:

The path to the log file for this trace is shown. When the trace has been run you can click Open to open the log file in Windows Notepad, or Copy to select a destination folder to which to copy the file. Note that large log files (tens of megabytes) can take some time to load into Notepad.
