. Enter the name of the computer that is running the Vault Directory Service you want to use.
. Click to change to a different SQL Server or SQL Server instance for managing the Vault Directory Database. This is typically something you might do as part of network reconfiguration or disaster recovery.
When you specify a new SQL Server, Enterprise Vault does the following:
Checks that there is a Vault Directory Database on the new SQL Server.
Updates the SQL Server Name registry value on the Directory Service computer.
This value is under the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE \KVS \Enterprise Vault \Directory \DirectoryService
Restarts the Directory Service, which then updates its local Data Source to point to the new SQL Server.
