Status: Remaining space in Vault Store Group database transaction log

Monitoring tab alert name: Vault Store fingerprint database log size

Problem: One or more Vault Store Group database transaction logs have not been backed up.

A fingerprint database contains data that enables Enterprise Vault single instance storage.

This problem is most likely to be caused by a failed backup or the database configuration.

Work through the following steps to fix the problem. You may not need to try all the steps.

  1. Review your SQL database backup procedures and make any changes needed to ensure that backups happen in a timely fashion.

  2. Ensure that your database is adequately sized for the transactions taking place during an archive run.

  3. Check that there is enough disk space available to accommodate the normal growth that you see in the database and database transaction log files.

  4. Run the checks again to make sure that you have corrected the problem.
