System Configuration - Data Locations

In Control Compliance Suite, the Evidence Management system uses the CSV files for collecting the evidence data. The CSV files must be placed in a configured network share of a computer.

You must configure the network share path where the CSV files are located and provide credentials to access the files. You can map one or more evidence providers to the same data location. Ensure that you map the data location, which contains the CSV file with the appropriate evidence provider You can set different schedules for the evidence collection jobs to ensure proper import of data from the CSV files.

The fields and the descriptions under the Network Share Configuration section of the Add Data Location dialog box are as follows:

Name

The name of the evidence provider.

Description

The description to identify the evidence provider.

Share Path

The share path of the location where the CSV file is located. The share path must be specified in the format, \\<computer name>\<shared folder name>.

For example, \\176.23.345.56\sampleCSVfile\.

The fields and the descriptions under the Credentials section of the Add Data Location dialog box are as follows:

Domain

The domain of the network share path where the CSV file is located.

User Name

The user name to access the network share path.

Password

The password to authenticate the share path.

Confirm Password

The password confirmation to authenticate the share path.

Note:

If you change the data location configuration, then you must synchronize the DPS with the latest configuration. You can synchronize the registered DPS computers using the option, Sync Configuration from the Map or Grid view of the console.
