About log message severity levels

Control Compliance Suite has a hierarchical system of logging. Certain log events can have a higher priority than other log events. A user controls how much information to log by adjusting the log level threshold. Log messages must be assigned to a certain level.

Log messages are located in the following levels:

Escalation level

Verbose

Component operates properly. The level is used to provide additional informational messages.

The log writes informational messages, warning messages, error messages, and verbose messages.

Error

Operation cannot complete successfully because of error condition.

The log writes informational messages, warning messages, and error messages

Warning

A recoverable error occurred.

The log writes informational messages and warning messages

Informational

Used to provide general feedback. Component operates correctly.

The log only writes informational messages

None

No log information is stored.

No log is kept.
