About Management Services

Management Services is the root certificate authority service that is used to generate, manage, and sign certificates for the CCS components.

The Certificate Management console is installed on the same system as Management Services to manage certificates. Using the Certificate Management console, users can create, renew, revoke, or remove certificates.

Symcert is a command-line utility that provides an optional method of managing certificates. Symcert is installed when a certified component is installed.
