A shared propagation rule can be defined once, and then used
throughout the service
hierarchy. While shared propagation rules can save you time,
take care to use them only in identical situations, because changes
to the rule affect all dependencies that use the rule.
To edit shared propagation rules:
Open the Service Editor
Select
your top-level services folder in the console tree.
Clickon the Configuration
toolbar to open the Service Editor.
Select the Propagation Rules button.
Select the rule you want to edit.
Select Edit.
Edit the name of the rule.
Edit the Description for the rule. This description is
visible in all Status Propagation dialog boxes.
