HP Operations provides a number of policy types that allow you to
configure what is monitored and what the response to a specific
situation should be. This section of the help describes the policy
types that monitor specific events, such as entries in a log file,
WMI entries, threshold values, SNMP traps, and so on. The different
event policy types have many things in common, and so are treated a
group in the help.
Note that there are other policy types that are explained
elsewhere in the help.
