After being annoyed with copying/pasting CDF error message text
into a text editor, to then copy it into the cmd prompt to run
net helpmsg or using a 3rd party utility, it was decided
that it would be convenient to be able to easily copy the error
codes and do a lookup right in CDFControl itself.
To launch the error lookup utility, use one of the methods outlined
below:
Click --> Tools --> Error Code Lookup
Right-click the viewer window, and click on the Error Code
Lookup context menu
To use the error lookup utility:
Simply paste in the desired error code to lookup.
Hex numbers must be prefixed with 0x otherwise it will be treated as a decimal
number.
Click the Lookup button
In-place label editing
Take advantage of the in-place label editing, to allow for easy
copy of the error code.
Simply left-click once on a CDF event message after it is
selected, and it will transform into an editable label. This will
allow you to copy the error code easily.
