Class

Exclusion symbol. A package or any packages of a class following this symbol may not be installed on the same computer as this package.

OR symbol. Either one or another package or class following this symbol is required by this package.

When the OR function exists, it indicates that the selected package depends on packages that are members of either one class or another. In the example above, there are four classes listed: WINNT, W2KP, WIN95, and WIN98. The selected package depends on packages that are members of either WINNT or W2KP, and cannot be installed with packages that are members of either WIN95 or WIN98.

Packages that are members of the classes display at the left of the diagram. Any package that is a member of the required class will fulfill the dependency relationship for the selected package. In the example above, the selected package depends on MS Windows NT 4.0 Wkst (English) or MS Windows NT Server (Dell PowerEdge) or MS Windows 2000 Professional (English).
