Pre-boot eXecution Environment (PXE) enables unattended operating system installation and configuration. It also enables disk formatting on new, out-of-the-box desktops, or on misconfigured or corrupted PCs in a Help Desk environment. ON Command CCM is PXE compatible and provides all of its standard pre-OS functionality to standard PCs with PXE-compatible NICs or BIOS without requiring installation of a CCM boot PROM or boot floppy.
