The user of a dial-up mobile computer may want to poll for and download jobs at unpredictable times. If you have chosen not to set the mobile computer to push only mode, it is a good practice to set a very open polling time. You can use either of two options:
Define a 24-hour Action period in the Network Load Control tab of the <Server Name> Properties dialog box .
Deactivate time control by setting the computer’s Boot priority to zero (0) in the Boot and Security Settings tab of the <Computer Name> Properties dialog box. In that way, all actions are activated as soon as the mobile computer dials in.
A mobile computer always uses the local time when executing jobs remotely. Time differences between server and mobile computer may affect the execution while connected to the LAN (for example, due to different time zones). A managed computer that is a permanent LAN computer always uses the server time for job execution.
See Controlling the Timing of CCM Actions for further information.
