To find computers using a CCM-provided SQL query:

1. Right-click <All Computers> and select Find Computers > Find by SQL query...

The Select Query dialog box appears.

2. Select a query from the list of queries near the bottom of the dialog.

The SQL statements appear in the text box.

3. Click OK to run the query.

4. A Temporary Group is created containing the results from the query.

To find computers by modifying a CC-provided SQL query:

1. Right-click <All Computers> and select Find Computers > Find by SQL query...

The Select Query dialog box appears.

2. Select a query from the list of queries near the bottom of the dialog.

The SQL statements appear in the text box.

3. Modify the SQL statements in the text box.

The syntax of the query statements are checked when you click OK to run the query.  If there is an error in the syntax, a message appears.

3. Click Save to save the modified query statements.

4. Decide if you will overwrite the existing query, or create a new query.

5. Click OK to check the syntax and run the query.

6. A Temporary Group is created containing the results from the query.

To find computers using a pre-existing SQL query:

1. Copy the SQL statements from the existing query (from the text editor where it resides).

2. Right-click <All Computers> and select Find Computers > Find by SQL query...

The Select Query dialog box appears.

3. Select any text that appears in the text box, and paste the SQL statements.

4. Click Save to save the query statements.

5. Enter a name and description for the query.

6. Click OK to check the syntax and run the query.

7. A Temporary Group is created containing the results from the query.
