Cancelling Windows Agent Actions

To cancel computer sessions:

In the Scope pane expand the Computers item.
Click <All Computers> or a computer group name to display the member computers in the Result pane.
In the Result pane, Shift-click or Ctrl-click the computers whose session you want to cancel.
Right-click one of the selected computers.
Select Pause/Continue.
In either the Active computers list or the Stopped computers list of the Pause/Continue Computer Actions dialog box, Shift-click or Ctrl-click the computers whose sessions you want to cancel.
Click Cancel Actions.
Click Close.

The CCM Windows Agent completes the current phase, then CCM cancels the current computer session. The remaining phases for the current job and any succeeding jobs will be executed at the next polling interval.

Canceling Windows Agent Actions

There may be occasions when you will want to cancel a job while the CCM Windows Agent is executing it on the computer; for example, if you want to clear errors or react to an excessive network load.

NOTE: You can cancel only the actions of the CCM Windows Agent. Actions of the CCM Pre-OS Agent cannot be canceled.

Depending on the Windows Agent action, the jobs are canceled at different stages.

If the Windows Agent is...	The computer session is canceled....
...preparing to execute the job, but has not started the script	...and the job is not executed.
...executing the script	...at the completion of the current phase or at the next phase that does not include a reboot.
...executing the script and performing a reboot	...at the completion of the next phase that does not include a reboot.
