When CCM installs the operating system onto Consistent Mode computers, the CCM Windows Agent is automatically installed, as a dependent package of the OS. Because CCM does not install the operating system for Cooperative Mode computers, you must install the CCM Windows Agent separately, using the ONwards tool.
Following is a general description of the ONwards tasks to install the Windows Agent on Cooperative Mode computers.
First, you set the configuration of the installation by choosing to install the Windows Agent remotely or locally, and selecting the computers on which to install the Desktop Agent.
Second, you set the Agent parameters.
Third, you run the Check program to verify that your settings are valid before you execute the program.
Fourth, you run the program to execute the Windows Agent installation.
