The Desktop Management Task Force's (DMTF) Systems Management Architecture for Server Hardware (SMASH) initiative is a suite of specifications that deliver architectural semantics, industry standard protocols and profiles to unify the management of the data center. The SMASH Server Management (SM) Command Line Protocol (CLP) specification enables simple and intuitive management of heterogeneous servers in the data center.
SMASH CLP provides a standardized set of commands for configuration and control of management processors (called Management Access Points) and host Systems. On iLO 3, the SMASH CLP is accessed through the Secure Shell (SSH) port.
For more information, see SMASH CLP Scripting Language.
