Disaster recovery support

The Disaster Recovery feature is supported on servers that do not support Redundant ROM. When a ROM flash fails or the system ROM becomes corrupted, disaster recovery enables administrators to update the system ROM with a Systems ROMPaq Diskette or USB key.

To use this feature on supported servers, boot to the appropriate media (ROM flash diskette or USB key) for the affected platform, and then allow the flash recovery process to complete. Because no video support exists during this process, the server emits a series of beeps at completion.
