Several methods are available for installing Backup Exec.
You can do the following:
Use the installation wizard, which guides you through the installation process.
Use the command line, which is called silent mode installation. The silent mode installation uses the Setup.exe program on the Backup Exec CD.
Use a clone CD image, which enables you to copy your installation settings from one computer onto a CD. You can then use that CD to install Backup Exec on additional servers using the same settings.
You can install Backup Exec and its options on a local computer, a remote computer, or both. Additionally, you can install the Backup Exec Remote Administrator, which allows you to administrate the media server from a remote Windows server or workstation.
