Restoring individual files from a closed partition by using Enterprise Vault

Use the following steps to restore individual files from a closed partition.

To restore individual files from a closed partition

  1. On the navigation bar, click the arrow next to Restore.

  2. Click New Restore Job.

  3. In the Restore Job Properties pane, expand All Resources.

  4. Expand a directory on <Computer_name> that contains the closed partition that you want to restore.

  5. Expand an Enterprise Vault site that contains the server where the closed partition that you want to restore resides.

  6. Expand the Enterprise Vault server that contains the closed partition that you want to restore.

  7. Expand a vault store that contains the closed partition and the files that you want to restore.

  8. Expand Partitions.

  9. Expand a closed partition that contains the files that you want to restore.

  10. Expand the full backup set.

  11. In the Results pane, select one or more files and/or folders that you want to restore.

  12. In the Restore Job Properties pane, select other restore options as needed.

  13. Do one of the following:

    To run the job now

    Click Run Now.

    To schedule the job to run later

    Do the following in the order listed:

    • In the Properties pane, under Frequency, click Schedule.

    • Set the scheduling options.

    • Click Submit.

  14. After the restore successfully completes, run the Enterprise Vault recovery tool. See your Enterprise Vault documentation for more information.

500 Internal Server Error

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
