Requirements for the Remote Media Agent

The following items should be in place before you install the Remote Media Agent:

You must have root privileges on the Linux servers to install the Remote Media Agent.
You must have access to a mounted CD-ROM drive.
You must have the SCSI generic (sg) device driver to enable the operating system to support storage devices.

After the installation completes, you must add the Linux server as a Remote Media Agent to the Backup Exec database. Then, you can send jobs to the devices that are attached to the Linux server.

Internal Server Error

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
