The Remote Agent for Windows Systems Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility lets you install Remote Agent upgrades and updates to multiple servers simultaneously. The utility helps you to better manage environments with multiple servers.
You can use the Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility to validate one or more remote servers to make sure they have up-to-date versions of the Remote Agent for Windows Systems. After the Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility determines which computers need to be upgraded or updated, you can initiate the process. The Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility connects to the computers and simultaneously upgrades or updates each instance of the Remote Agent. When the process is complete, you receive status messages for each computer. The status messages tell you whether the process was successful and whether any further action is required.
You can optionally customize the Bulk Upgrade and Update Utility by using command switches. You can configure the utility to allow new Remote Agent installations in addition to upgrades and updates. If you do not want Backup Exec to populate the utility with your user-defined selections and servers that publish to the media server, you can turn off this feature.
