Order - order of installing methods (use mouse drag & drop
operation to change the order)
Generate unique identifier - During installation a unique
identifier is generated. Later it is used to identify the computer
when data is entered to the system. (If in Options/computers the
option ”Unique number” is selected for the computer’s
identification)
Restore unique identifier - During installation the unique
identifier generated before (it already exists in the system) is
written again. The operation is typical for those cases where the
computer operating system was reinstalled or if there are more
operating systems on the computer (The same unique identifier
should be in all of them).
Additional parameters - field to specify additional scan.exe
command line parameters (e.g. /XP2)
Resident - run scan exe permanently in memory
Run (registry) - run scan.exe from the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
NT service - install and run the client as NT service
Username/Password - user account to run as service
Client remote control - method (technology) of communicating
with the client
TCP/IP - control client using TCP/IP port.
Port 2 - uses 2 separate ports for the communication. Default
777 for sending data to the client and the second port (777+1=778)
as back-communication port (suitable for firewalls)
DCOM - control client using DCOM
Interactive (On desktop)
YES - The remote station data scan is possible only if the user
is logged on
NO - The remote station data scan can be performed from the
locally logged-on user’s account (administrator) and access
rights.
